SAQ load switch with quick connection can also be used as a safety switch

According to IEC 60947-3, our encapsulated SAQ load switches/disconnectors can also be used as safety switches where such are required. Safety switches must be connected in the main circuit to disconnect the installation part during mechanical or electrical work and to prevent accidental connection of such installation during ongoing work.

It is important to have in a facility's electrical circuit both electrical switches for start and stop, as well as a separate electrical switch as a safety switch. This is because a safety switch should only be used to disconnect the system part.

The enclosure of the load switches is IP65 rated

The safety switches are made of polycarbonate with a knockout for 4 x cable entry thread M25, entry via a back cover in soft TPE facilitates tight cable passage. As the mounting holes and gasket are also in TPE, the enclosure achieves IP65 class.
